Recruitment Agent

Full job description and requirements:

Location: Remote (working UK time hours) 

 Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Role Overview: 

We are seeking a proactive and organised Deaf Recruitment Agent to join our team and help bridge the gap between Deaf job seekers and companies looking for talented employees. As part of this role, you will collaborate with platforms such as Totaljobs to identify opportunities, connect Deaf individuals with suitable roles, and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process. You will also take consultation calls to explain the process and provide personalised support (training provided). 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Candidate Sourcing: Identify and engage Deaf job seekers through online platforms, social media, and community outreach. 

  • Employer Collaboration: Build relationships with companies and organisations to create job opportunities for Deaf candidates. 

  • Job Matching: Assess candidate profiles and match them with suitable roles based on skills, experience, and preferences. 

  • Consultation Calls: Conduct consultations with candidates and employers to explain how the process works and answer any questions (training provided). 

  • Platform Collaboration: Utilise platforms such as Totaljobs to search for Deaf-friendly employers and job postings. 

  • Support and Guidance: Provide ongoing support to candidates and employers throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a smooth experience for both parties. 

  • Reporting: Provide daily updates on progress, challenges, and outcomes to the manager. 

 

Must-Have Qualifications: 

  • Deaf and BSL User: Fluency in British Sign Language is essential. 

  • Access to Work: Eligibility for and understanding of the Access to Work scheme. 

  • Right to Work in the UK: Must have the legal right to work in the UK. 

  • Communication Skills: BSL User, Level 4. Competent written skills in English. 

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Recruitment Knowledge: Prior experience in recruitment, headhunting, or similar roles is beneficial but not required. 

  • Self-Organised: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. 

  • Reliable: Consistently follows through on commitments and delivers high-quality work. 

  • Responsive: Quick and efficient in responding to inquiries and completing tasks. 

  • Friendly and Professional: Able to build trust and maintain positive relationships with candidates and employers. 

  • Tech-Savvy: Confident using digital tools, recruitment platforms, and job boards. 

  • Experience with Generative AI: Familiarity or willingness to learn, with tools such as ChatGPT, Wix, etc. is beneficial for efficient communication and sourcing.  

  • Willingness to Learn: Open to training on recruitment systems and processes. 

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address challenges and find creative solutions to meet the needs of both candidates and employers.
