Service Description
Book a Registered Sign Language Interpreter (RSLI) for up to 2 hours, onsite and Face-to-Face. Choose your preferred date and time, and our team will confirm the booking shortly. All interpreters are InSignLanguage-approved, ensuring you receive a highly qualified professional with expertise in British Sign Language (BSL). Key Information: Appointment Fee: £350 including VAT for a 2-hour session during regular business hours (9am-5pm). Booking Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email from bookings@insignlanguage.co.uk once your appointment is scheduled. An invoice will be sent separately from finance@insignlanguage.co.uk. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 7 days before the appointment. Breaks for Longer Sessions: For bookings longer than 1 hour, the interpreter will request a 10-15 minute break, depending on the session's nature. The interpreter will always be clear and open about this requirement upfront, ensuring minimal disruption to your meeting. Cancellation Policy: 15 days or more before the appointment date: No charge. 8-14 days before the appointment: 50% cancellation fee. 7 days or less before the appointment: Full charge applies. Our Interpreters: All interpreters are registered with the NRCPD (National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People) or the Scottish Association of Sign Language Interpreters (SASLI). These organizations regulate the profession, ensuring interpreters meet rigorous training standards and maintain professional conduct. In addition, our interpreters are members of NUBSLI (National Union of British Sign Language Interpreters), representing the highest level of commitment to quality and professionalism. Availability Notice: Due to the national shortage of qualified BSL interpreters, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your preferred time slot. Once the appointment is confirmed, you will receive the interpreter’s details. Please be prepared to share any relevant preparation materials. Data Protection: InSignLanguage is GDPR-compliant. Your personal and confidential information will only be used for booking and communication purposes and will not be shared without your consent. You may receive emails from our secure CRM system or directly from our bookings and finance departments.
Cancellation Policy
At InSignLanguage, we strive to provide professional, high-quality interpreting services tailored to your needs. Below is our detailed Face-to-Face Booking Policy, including timings, charges, and booking processes. Booking Efforts and Confirmation Booking Request Submission: Once a booking request is submitted, our team will contact interpreters within our network to secure availability. You will receive confirmation of the interpreter’s assignment within 24 hours. If we cannot accommodate your request, we will provide alternative options. Required Information: To ensure successful placement, provide all necessary details about the appointment, including location, duration, type of event, and relevant preparation materials. Timely sharing of preparation materials ensures the interpreter is well-prepared to deliver exceptional service. Timings and Charges Available Appointment Slots: 2-Hour Appointments: Start at 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM, or 1:00 PM. 4-Hour Appointments: Start at 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM, or 1:00 PM. Full-Day Appointments: Run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. Service Charges (Inclusive of VAT): 2-Hour Appointment: £350 4-Hour Appointment: £500 Full-Day Appointment (7 hours): £650 Additional Interpreters: For sessions exceeding 1 hour, continuity of service may require two interpreters, in line with professional standards. The final invoice will reflect the number of interpreters assigned. Breaks and Professional Ethics Interpreters require 5-15 minute breaks for appointments exceeding 1 hour. For 4-hour appointments, interpreters will take three 10-minute breaks. Full-day appointments include a 1-hour lunch break and suitable breaks throughout the day. If your event requires uninterrupted service, please book two interpreters to ensure continuity without compromising professional standards. Cancellation Policy 15+ days before the appointment: No charge. 8-14 days before the appointment: 50% cancellation fee. 7 days or less before the appointment: Full booking fee applies.
