Customer Support Specialist

Full job description and requirements:

Location: Remote (working UK time hours) 
Employment Type: Part-Time 

 

Role Overview: 

We are looking for a part-time Customer Support Specialist to join our team remotely, working in UK time hours. This role is perfect for someone who is Deaf, a fluent BSL user, and has the right to Access to Work and the right to work in the UK. You’ll play a key role in responding to customer inquiries, conducting consultations, and managing our online community and app content. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Customer Support: Respond to customer messages received through email and social media in a timely and professional manner. 

  • Follow-Up: Ensure customer issues are resolved effectively through consistent follow-ups. 

  • Consultations: Conduct online consultations (training will be provided). 

  • Community Management: Oversee and engage with the app community to foster a positive and supportive environment. 

  • Content Oversight: Manage and update app content to ensure it aligns with user needs and company standards. 

  • Reporting: Provide daily updates to the manager on tasks, progress, and challenges. 

 

Must-Have: 

  • Deaf / fluent British Sign Language User 

  • Good understanding of written English 

  • Eligibility for Access to Work 

  • Legal right to work in the UK 

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Self-Organised: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. 

  • Reliable: Consistently delivers high-quality work and follows through on commitments. 

  • Responsive: Quick and efficient in addressing customer needs. 

  • Friendly and Professional: Demonstrates a positive attitude in interactions with customers and colleagues. 

  • Customer Service Experience: Prior experience is beneficial but not required. 

  • Tech-Savvy: Skilled with technology and confident using a variety of digital tools and platforms. 

  • Experience with Generative AI: Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT is required. 

  • Willingness to Learn: Open to training and learning new systems and processes. Willing to learn and use new ways of doing things. Will be supported but expected to use AI wherever possible in the role.
