Key Results
InSign put together a team of female BSL interpreters, from a diverse background (black, asian, white) to carefully review the existing material, translating scripts from English to BSL. The process was additionally challenging as it required internal linguistic discussions, consistency checks, clarification of medical terminology, division of recording tasks among Deaf translators, and rigorous quality assurance. InSign created and published 11 modules of comprehensive, culturally relevant educational pregnancy information in BSL.
Pregnant Deaf mothers, carers and teachers now have access to critical, educational material in their native language. Looking to the future will continue to expand their support to the Deaf community with new BSL content and AI cabilities.
