Not for twelve (12) months, and only in relation to roles that would genuinely compete with the part of InSignLanguage you worked on. You are free to work in any non-competing role — including elsewhere in the accessibility, language services, or Deaf-sector ecosystem, as long as the activity doesn’t compete with ours.

An in-house role at a client — for example, a Deaf engagement lead at a public body — is usually fine, because it isn’t a competing business. A role where you’d be sourcing interpreters for that client in a way that cuts InSignLanguage out would not be. If in doubt, ask.

A holding of up to 3% of a listed company, held purely for investment, is expressly permitted. Anything larger, or any private-company stake in a competitor, is not.

Yes, the restrictions apply regardless of how the engagement ends. That said, where redundancy is on the table we will usually discuss the scope of the post-termination restrictions with you individually, and we are willing to vary them in writing where it’s fair to do so.
