Terms and Conditions
Support with Free Device
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Access to Work (AtW) support package offered by InSignLanguage (“ISL”), including the provision of a free device. By registering with ISL for AtW-funded interpreting support, you agree to the following:

This offer is available exclusively to Deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the UK who have an approved Access to Work (AtW) grant that names InSignLanguage as their interpreting service provider.

The device is provided for the purpose of enabling you to access ISL’s interpreting services in connection with work-related communication.
2. Free Device Provision
2.1. Sign up for Our Career Network
You must register with our Career Network platform and maintain an active profile.
2.2. Download and Register on the InSign UK App
You must download the InSign UK App and complete the registration process.
2.3. InSignLanguage VRS
You must apply for the InSignLanguage Ltd Video Relay Service (VRS).
2.4. Access to Work grant approval
You must apply for the Access to Work grant with ISL as your provider, and received official approval (we will guide you through this process).
2.5. Employment Status
You must have secured a permanent job (full-time or part-time) within the UK at the time of claiming the Offer.
2.6. Offer Details
2.6.1. The free phone will only be provided after all eligibility criteria have been met and verified by our team.
2.6.2. The phone provided is for the purpose of enabling communication support for work-related activities.
2.6.3. We reserve the right to determine the specific make and model of the phone issued under the Offer, subject to availability.
2.7. Verification and Approval
2.7.1. You agree to provide supporting documentation, including but not limited to:

Proof of permanent employment (e.g., employment contract or confirmation letter)

Evidence of Access to Work grant approval
2.7.2. We reserve the right to decline your application if any documentation is incomplete, fraudulent, or unverifiable.
​2.8. General Conditions
2.8.1. The Offer is limited to one phone per eligible participant.
2.8.2. The Offer is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative products/services.
2.8.3. We may withdraw, amend, or terminate the Offer at any time without prior notice, especially in cases of misuse or non-compliance with these Terms.
2.8.4 By participating, you acknowledge that your information may be used to verify eligibility and administer the Offer
in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].
3. Ownership & Usage
3.1. The device remains the property of ISL during the grant period.
3.2. After 3 years of continuous AtW support with ISL, ownership of the device will be transferred to you.
4. Early Termination
4.1. Termination by Either Party
Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one (1) month’s written notice.
4.2. Termination Conditions
In the event that you:
a) cease to use InSign Language (ISL) as your Access to Work (AtW) provider,
b) lose your employment or your AtW grant is withdrawn, or
c) otherwise terminate this Agreement before the end of your AtW grant period,
you are required to do one of the following within 14 calendar days of termination:

Return the device provided under this Offer to ISL in good working condition, or
-
Pay a pro-rata buyout fee to retain the device. This fee will be calculated based on the remaining months of the original AtW grant period.
4.3. Failure to Comply​
Failure to return the device or pay the buyout fee within the specified time-frame may result in further action, including but not limited to the recovery of the device or referral to a debt collection agency.

5. Device Care & Responsibility
5.1. You are responsible for keeping the device in good condition.
5.2. ISL does not provide insurance against loss, theft, or accidental damage. We strongly recommend you take out
personal insurance.
5.3. In case of loss, theft, or irreparable damage before the 3-year ownership transfer, you will be required to pay for a
replacement device.
6. Warranty & Support
6.1. Devices come with the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
6.2. ISL will provide initial setup support to access the ISL Video Relay Service and InSign UK App but is not responsible for
technical repairs beyond what the manufacturer provides.
7. Fair Use & Compliance
7.1. The device and interpreting service are provided strictly for work-related purposes under Access to Work.
7.2. Misuse of the device or deliberate misrepresentation of usage to AtW may result in termination of services and recovery of the device.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep this agreement confidential and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent from the disclosing party, except as required by law.
9. Amendments
ISL reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time, provided such changes do not negatively impact your statutory rights.
