InSignLanguage Ltd — last updated 22 July 2026 — version 1.2

This Cookie Policy explains how InSignLanguage Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on insignlanguage.co.uk. It supports our Privacy Notice and is published in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember things about your visit — your preferences, your session, the choices you have made. Similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons, local storage and server-side event tracking do a comparable job, and this policy covers them all. Where we say "cookies" below, we mean the whole set.

2. Our approach

We follow the ICO's guidance:

  • Strictly necessary cookies load automatically, because the site cannot work without them.

  • Everything else — preferences, analytics, advertising and embedded media — is off by default and loads only after you consent through our cookie banner.

  • You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using "Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

We advertise online, and we say so plainly. We run paid campaigns and we use advertising cookies to measure which of them lead to real enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have already visited the site. That only happens if you accept advertising cookies. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use cookies to make automated decisions about you.

5. Managing cookies

You can manage cookies in two ways:

  1. On our website — open "Cookie preferences" in the footer and toggle each category.

  2. In your browser — most browsers let you block or delete cookies:

    • Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647

    • Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/help/4027947

    • Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer

    • Safari: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201265

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working as expected.

6. Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least annually, and whenever we add, remove or change a cookie or a provider. The current version and "last updated" date are shown at the top of this page.
