England & Wales

InSignLanguage Ltd — for the financial year ending 30 June 2026 — published 2 June 2026

InSignLanguage Ltd is committed to opposing modern slavery and human trafficking in every part of our business and supply chain. We support the aims of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and publish this statement voluntarily — we are below the £36m turnover threshold for a mandatory statement under section 54 of the Act but believe our clients deserve transparency.

Our workforce is made up of a small core team and a network of self-employed BSL interpreters and translators, all engaged in the UK. Our supply chain consists mainly of UK-based software, communications, finance and professional-services providers.

Our policies

The following internal policies underpin this statement:

  • Equality, Inclusion & Diversity (PEO-001) — zero tolerance of discrimination and harassment.

  • Safeguarding & Duty of Care (SAFE-001) — protecting children and adults at risk.

  • Whistleblowing / Speak-Up (PEO-007) — confidential reporting of concerns.

  • Recruitment & Right-to-Work checks — verification of every employee and freelance interpreter.

  • Supplier due diligence — assessment of new sub-processors and suppliers before engagement.

Due diligence

We:

  • verify the right to work of every employee and freelance interpreter;

  • carry out enhanced DBS, PVG or Access NI checks where the assignment context requires it;

  • assess every new supplier for security, data-protection and ethical standards;

  • ask larger suppliers to confirm their own modern-slavery position;

  • monitor for indicators of forced labour in our supply chain.

Training

Modern-slavery awareness is included in our annual data-protection and safeguarding training for all staff.
