About us

One to One Support Services is a specialist staffing and support provider based in north Derbyshire, established in 2006. They support Deaf people, people with sensory impairments, children, families and vulnerable adults across communication, children and families, disability, elderly care, training and consultancy, and supply staff.
They also run their own training academy and are a Signature recognised centre delivering British Sign Language and sensory impairment courses.

Job Description

A senior role supporting the Service Manager and the wider support team, working with Deaf people and people with sensory impairments, health needs or learning disabilities. Based at the Chesterfield head office just off junction 29, with a minimum of two days a week in the office and travel out to services in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocating on behalf of the people you support, while protecting their right to privacy, dignity, choice and respect

  • Supporting people with sensory impairments, health needs and learning disabilities

  • Facilitating clear and effective communication between management and the support team

  • Convening meetings and taking minutes, and providing administrative support to the Service Manager

  • Working flexibly across seven days, including evenings and weekends

Requirements

British Sign Language skills, in line with the role title. The advert does not set a minimum level, so it is worth asking at application.

A minimum of two days a week at the Chesterfield head office, with travel out to services.

This role requires an annual DBS check, two references and confirmation of your right to work in the UK.
