Liz Hood is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience building and scaling innovative businesses. She is the Founder and CEO of InSignLanguage Ltd, a pioneering company she launched in September 2017 to bridge communication gaps for the Deaf community through British Sign Language (BSL) interpreting services.
Under Liz’s leadership, InSignLanguage has transformed accessibility by launching a groundbreaking app in 2018 that enables instant access to qualified BSL interpreters. Her commitment to inclusion is deeply personal—shaped by her upbringing in a household with parents who experienced hearing loss—and professionally reinforced by her success in managing teams that include Deaf staff and interpreters.
Prior to founding InSignLanguage, Liz played a pivotal role in taking a skincare technology company public, demonstrating her ability to drive growth and deliver investor value. Her unique blend of commercial acumen and social impact focus positions her as a visionary leader in the accessibility and assistive technology space.
