Podcast Terms and Conditions

By participating in or engaging with the InSignPod podcast (“Podcast”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Purpose

InSignLanguage Ltd (“the Company”) produces the InSignPod podcast, distributed on platforms including (but not limited to) YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Patreon, Vimeo, and social media. These terms explain how your participation and contributions may be used.

2. Recording and Participation

  • All podcast sessions (audio and/or video) will be recorded.

  • Recordings may include BSL interpreters, subtitles, or other accessibility features.

  • The Company may edit content for length, clarity, format, or style, while maintaining the original intent of the contribution.

3. Rights and Consent

By joining the Podcast, you grant the Company the unrestricted, worldwide, royalty-free right to:

  • Record, reproduce, edit, display, publish, and distribute the content in any media (audio, video, transcript, or image).

  • Use your name, likeness, voice, biography, and statements for Podcast purposes and promotion.

  • Use photos provided by you or taken during the session in promotional materials, thumbnails, marketing campaigns, websites, newsletters, and press.

  • Share and repurpose the content across all platforms where the Podcast appears.

This grant of rights is irrevocable, perpetual, and non-exclusive (you can also share your own content).

4. No Compensation

Participation is voluntary. Guests will not receive monetary payment for appearances or for use of their contributions. The Company may decide whether or not to use any recording.

5. Conduct and Confidentiality

Participants agree:

  • Not to disclose any confidential information shared during production.

  • To engage in a respectful, lawful, and non-discriminatory manner.

  • The Company reserves the right to withhold or remove content if it violates applicable laws or company policies.

6. Representations

By participating, you confirm that:

  • You are over 18 (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18).

  • You have the right to share your contribution.

  • Your contribution does not infringe on third-party rights.

  • You will not make defamatory or unlawful statements.

7. Accessibility

The Company is committed to inclusion. Recordings may include BSL interpretation, captions, or other adjustments to support Deaf and hearing participants.

​

8. Indemnity

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their contributions.

9. Data Protection

Personal data (name, image, etc.) will be processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Data will only be used for Podcast production, promotion, and archiving.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
